Amazing Maasai GLOBAL RUN!
To coincide with year six of the Amazing Maasai Marathon in Kenya, we will be DONATING A 5KM RUN/WALK on Saturday, September 9th to show our support for GIRLS EDUCATION in Kenya.
Team San Francisco will be in good company globally! Last year more than 1,000 runners in cities all over the world laced up their running shoes and hit the road to honor our amazing girls that we are sponsoring through high school.
How it Works:
1) REGISTER:
Sign up on this page to donate your run or walk on September 9th.
2) FIND YOUR TEAM
If you register on this page, you will be automatically be added to this location's team and your race number and swag will be sent to the city team captain. If you need to find a local team, you can find teams on our website if you'd like to run in a group.
3) RUN!
Go solo or go with a team! Any time on September 9th, head out for a walk or run in solidarity for Girls' education. Run knowing you are helping change a young girl's life in Kenya.
4) SEND US A SELFIE
We need proof of your run/ walk! Take a picture of yourself running in a RED T-SHIRT & wearing your bib. Email it to us and shar it on social mediat with the hastag #globalrun and #donateyourrun. We'll create a video mashup of all the global runs around the world to showcase this year's efforts.

How far is the run/walk?You are free to run or walk as far as you would like, since this is not a formal race. Typically, our teams organize 5 & 10km routes. You can confirm with your team captain or contact us at [email protected] I run in a Team or Group?Yes! We have created Facebook groups for our existing teams to share run info! All teams are listed on our website. If you are interested in leading a new group, please contact [email protected] and we will give you marketing and admin support to help make it super simple!
What does my cash donation go towards? Your job on Sept 9th is to donate your run or walk in solidarity for educating girls in Kenya. All donations towards your run will go towards a four-year scholarship fund. Each year from these donations, we are able to sponsor 8-12 girls on four year high school scholarships because of the Global Run donations.
