Singer/musician Fred Ross knows how to gather great musicians and stir up the house. This is the fifth year Pete Douglas has invited Fred and his current Project back, saying, "It's fantastic funk; tight, gotta move music." Fred has recorded with Aretha Franklin, members of Tower of Power, Santana, Chaka Kahn, the Commodores, and more, Toured US & Europe with Everyday People, and Fred Wesley of the James Brown Band. His band is notorious for their tributes to favorites like Sly Stone and James Brown. And he always brings us a surprise guest artist to keep the dance floor hopping. After a first set of fine jazz, we clear the center chairs and boogie down to some Soul/Funk/Blues.
