The first British punk band to release, record, and tour in the USA comes to the San Jose music institution that is The Black Club. Opening for the Sex Pistols in 1976, The Damned recorded their album "Damned Damned Damned" and toured the country in 1979. Eventually they became the front runners of gothic rock. But this isn't your average legendary band, with a one sided sound. Incorporating multiple sounds into their brand of punk, such as cabaret, garage rock, and phsychedelic rock, The Damned proved they're worth their salt. None deserve the legendary reputation they have more.
