Please join us for this rare, once in a lifetime pairing, one that has been a long time coming. San Francisco's most unique old-time stringband The Crooked Jades and San Francisco's most unusual horrorbilly band, The Pine Box Boys meet for the very first time...and perhaps the last?
THE CROOKED JADES (SF)
*CD Release Event*
San Francisco's premier old-time stringband return with an all-new
release, "Empathy Moves The Water", the band’s first original album in over 10 years! The Crooked Jades, called the finest stringband in America by The Boston Herald are true purveyors of old-time music, but do it in a way even old-time haters and naysayers are drawn into their hypnotic sound.

THE PINE BOX BOYS (SF)
Perhaps the most unique, and bad-ass Americana-based band to be born and bred on the mean streets of San Francisco. The Pine Box Boys formed in San Francisco in 2003 to perform modern renditions of classic murder ballads. Shortly after, Lester T. Raww, “Possum" Carvidi, Col. Timothy Leather and Steven “Your Uncle” Dodds started the Pine Box Boys, but transitioned the music to all original songs paying the same grim homage to themes of murder, misery, zombies and generally unapologetic acts of mayhem. It's somewhere between bluegrass and a heavy metal, if heavy metal were played on acoustic instruments.
