Under the baton of Conductor Nick Burdick, the 40-piece Corte Madera Town Band (CMTB) will ring in the holiday season in true style at its 2025 Holiday Concert! Be there to celebrate a fun evening of great seasonal music, great friends, and holiday spirit! Refreshments will be served. Regarding the music being performed, here is how CMTB President Larry Hetrick describes the selections: "December is such a wonderful month for celebrating music. We will kick off the month by performing a number of Christmas melodies, Hanukkah selections, traditional English favorites, and even salutes to Charlie Brown and beloved Hollywood seasonal films. It will be an hour of great, light entertainment."
The Corte Madera Town Band is actively recruiting new members while working hard to raise the group's visibility. Conductor Nick Burdick describes these goals: "I've spent the last few years rebuilding the music program at San Rafael High School after COVID, and now I felt like I had the energy where I could take on something new, and I wanted to start working with adults again. I've had a lot of fun working with this lively group of musicians of all levels. It's been especially exciting to see the enthusiasm as our membership and musicianship grows."
"I'm hoping to make the CMTB different from other concert bands in the area. We're exploring partnerships with community organizations to connect the band more with the Marin community. We want to create a band where musicians feel welcome and help them connect with the many wonderful things happening in Marin."
Generous support for this concert is provided by the Town of Corte Madera, the Corte Madera Community Foundation, Corte Madera Lions, and fans like you! The CMTB - also known as "Marin's Own" - greatly appreciates all of its supporters.
