6:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:00 p.m.)
8:15 p.m. (doors open at 8:00 p.m.)
Join The ClimateMusic Project and Kinetech Arts for a powerful evening of climate-science inspired music and dance!
Through this unique science/arts collaboration, we tell the story of how the climate has changed in the last 200 years, what we can expect in the future, and how we can all help address the greatest challenge facing humanity.
Each performance will start off with an improv dance performance by Kinetech Arts (http://www.kine-tech.org).
Then we'll perform our updated original work, "Climate" by composer Erik Ian Walker. This piece takes us through 500 years of the climate’s past and present, as well as possible futures. The show integrates music with synchronized data animations and includes an opportunity to engage with our science team after the concert.
With Erik Ian Walker on keyboards; Michele Walther on violin; Scott Brazieal on keyboards; Bill Noertker on bass guitar; and live mixing by Angela Lee.
