Like a Springtime breeze, the Berkeley Potters Guild doors open to the public to unveil a fresh array of beautiful pottery, sculpture & ceramic jewelry in their ANNUAL SECONDS SALE, the first two weekends of May. Thirteen members, burning the midnight oil, have been preparing massive markdowns & firing kilns filled with spectacular new work to offer as well.
Three newly juried members will be on board, bringing exciting new work to the show. Be sure to look for: richly-hued Raku wall pieces; impeccable Japanese porcelain ware in watery hues of teal & blue; & iridescent, irresistible Raku pears, persimmons & apples. Each resident artist is committed to living and supporting the life of the hand made by making skillfully crafted and excellently designed pieces for sale. . . filling the labyrinthian hallway & studios with a startling array of pots in a myriad of style, color & size. There is something for every taste & every pocketbook!
The Guild artists invite you to come see for yourself, browse & meet the makers. . . discover fantastic bargains: the perfect porcelain tea cup, a rustic salad bowl or salsa jar, a dragon to grace the mantle, an elegant vase with an astounding rose drawn on it, or a colorful platter for paella painted with playful lemons.
