Trip Wire

The two founding members of Trip Wire are Marty Schneider and Bill Hunt. Through several lineup changes they have stayed together via a shared love of harmony and indie pop song craft. The strength of their material allowed them to replace their sorely missed rhythm section on their first two records with standout players Stu Shader on drums and Jeff Shelton on bass.

Scott Gagner

“His Potential is limitless.” ~Powerpopaholic

Originally from Minneapolis, Gagner began his musical career as a drummer soaking up local favorites Hüsker Dü, The Replacements, and The Jayhawks. He moved to San Francisco, traded his drum sticks for an acoustic guitar, and began writing. From the start, his songs were rhythmically sophisticated and melodically mature, with hooks both surprising and inevitable. An obsession with home recording quickly developed, and he soon found himself spending every night hunched over a cheap four-track cassette recorder. Several years and several hundred songs later, Gagner was ready to polish the best tracks for his debut, 2011's acclaimed Rhapsody in Blonde. Now comes Gagner's second LP, Rise & Shine. Recorded live to 2" tape, this melodic and emotionally direct set of songs was born out of a love for 1970's singer-songwritersand pre-WWII standards alike. Recommended for fans of Ron Sexsmith, Nick Lowe, and Harry Nilsson. Guests include Ken Stringfellow (Posies, Big Star, REM). On this special occasion, Gagner and longtime collaborator Arnie Kim will do an intimate acoustic run through of the entire album, plus fan favorites.

Eric Friedmann and The Lucky Rubes

Since the summer of 2001 Eric Friedmann and The Lucky Rubes have brought their smoky take on vocal-based Telecaster rock to venues up and down California and in the UK as well. A multi-instrumentalist and accomplished producer, Eric has been a fixture in the Bay Area music community since the mid-eighties, and has played in countless bands on various instruments up and down the West Coast, the Midwest, and in Europe. In 1992 he founded Solana Records, and has recorded and released albums by some of the Bay Area's most exciting talent. He is also the proprietor of The Sandbox, a small recording studio in the Sunset District of San Francisco where the really big stars come to record when they're sick of Hyde Street. 2013 sees The Lucky Rubes back after a break with an exciting all-new lineup:
