TEMINITE:
All hail the ghost of Rick Wakeman (unless he's alive) - Because now there is an Edm artist who can play a sick keyboard solo from hell. Teminite (real name Sam Norris) hails from the UK and has been producing for nearly a decade. A saxophonist classically trained in jazz, Tem somehow stumbled into an Edm niche all his own complete with head banging drops and layers you just don't see every day. Think Blackbeard (yes, the pirate) meets Jean-Michel Jarre and you may begin to understand this artiste. Vocoder vocals, real instruments, all pushed through with effects and perhaps seen through a jazz lens- it's hard to say for sure with the amount of creativity going on in a Teminite track. A pirate for now, we just don't know what Teminite will morph into next, and there in lies the charm. Frankly, I don't know how this is going to look live. I like to imagine there will be a big keyboard and also a saxophone (maybe a parrot and a caprinas hat) in addition to what you might normally see at the dump step show. No matter what, Teminite likes to keep you guessing. Make sure to catch his first US tour if you want to see the pirate action.
