Telegraph Quartet presented by Music in the Vineyards

SEE EVENT DETAILS
On Saturday August 20, 2022 at 5pm, the Telegraph Quartet (Eric Chin and Joseph Maile, violins; Pei-Ling Lin, viola; Jeremiah Shaw, cello) will be presented by Music in the Vineyards as part of a special community concert program titled Not So Silent Cinema: Music of Stephen Prutsman. Prutsman, an exceptional pianist known for his stylistic versatility, will be taking part in the performance along with flutist Tara Helen O'Connor.

Beyond highlighting the unique and engaging film scores of Stephen Prutsman, this specially curated program is meant to provide audiences with a classic film viewing experience from more than a century in the past. Three films -- A Trip to the Moon (1902) by Georges Melies, The Cameraman's Revenge (1912) by Wladyslaw Starewicz, and Buster Keaton's Sherlock Jr. (1924) -- dating from the turn of the 20th century to the mid-1920s when filmmakers had only just begun adding recorded sound to their visual footage, will be shown, as the Telegraph Quartet, Prutsman, and O'Connor perform the respective score of each film in tandem.

$15.00.
