Whether cultural, logistical, self-imposed or otherwise, systems are a part of our daily lives. Always at work on us in a multitude of ways—some obvious, some not—this group exhibition curated by Susannah Magers presents four artists whose practices interpret, examine, and imagine how systems inform, regulate, and control. The works address acts of self-mythology, concerns over the hegemony of mono-cultural-historicization and cultural deception, and ways of working within and pushing against a system’s apparent limitations.
Exhibition: October 4 – November 10, 2013
Gallery Hours: Saturdays & Sundays, 1-4pm
