Artists and scholars from Lebanon, Morocco, Egypt, Syria, Canada, and the U.S. will be in attendance to offer their insight on the various works presented. This event also coincides with a retrospective of the work of Moroccan filmmaker Moumen Smihi, curated by UC Santa Cruz professor Peter Limbrick, at the Pacific Film Archive in Berkeley, October 10-27.
