The Santa Cruz Handweavers Guild comes to the Museum of Art and History to present an illustrated lecture about the ways weavers have manipulated symmetry to captivate attention and achieve a deeply satisfying aesthetic. Carol Bier, who has spent much of her career exploring and studying the ways that weavers have combined symmetry, asymmetry, and symmetry-breaking in their works of art, will lead this presentation. Free admission!
