Sweet Elena’s in Sand City Announces New Art Exhibition Featuring
Patrice Vecchione from April 8th to May 13th
The opening reception will take place on Thursday, April 10th
Sweet Elena’s Bakery and Café located at 465 D Olympia Avenue in Sand City is an artisan bakery, reminiscent of home country cooking, using fresh and local ingredients.
Patrice Vecchione works will be on display from April 8th to May 13th. She has cut out pictures and stuck one piece of paper onto another since she first discovered paste in her New York City pre-school. Since then, it's been difficult to pry the near-permanent pair of scissors out of her hand! Her work has been shown in a variety of venues—galleries, libraries, community centers. Collages also appear on book covers. She's taught collage at colleges, privately and at Esalen Institute.
Art Open House and Book Launch Event:
· Enjoy the opening reception on April 10th! There will be a Poetry Readings and Book Signing and Open House Wednesday, April 10
· Celebrate Patrice’s new book launch
· Enjoy readings from Patrice and small bites from Sweet Elena’s
· View Patrice’s Art Exhibition
· The first 25 people to arrive will receive one of Patrice's hand-decorated journals
· Live music from the Treetop Trio
· At 6:30 Patrice will read from her book.
· At 7:00 everyone present will be invited to join Patrice for the writing of a group poem to be posted on FB
