SWAMP CHILD, Barons of Bad News, Radhika Rathinasabapathy

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Swamp Child is a San Francisco based rock band combining the soulful and dreamy pop influence of New Orleans born singer Brandi Cheek and the Chicago garage blues sound of guitarist Robb Hagle. Together they create an alternative pop and rock sound that melds classic influences with a modern indie approach. Formed out of The Hotel Utah’s music scene in SF they have expanded to play across the Bay Area in venues like Bottom of the Hill, 924 Gilman, The Hemlock & PianoFight. Swamp Child released their debut single Miss Disgrace in the fall of '17. ANR Factory called it "a torrent of contemptuous sound." The Miss Disgrace EP is scheduled for full release in Spring '18.

The Barons of Bad News combine the growling, baritone vocals and brooding lyrics of Kevin Waylonis; the haunted, jangling lead guitar of Brett Hydeman; the relentless, rumbling bass of Tyler Gary; and the raw, unhinged, unyielding drums of Danielle Goldsmith. The result is a raucous and irreverent rock’n’roll that hugs and hangs like an ill fitted suit. Bluesy, but not blues – soul for the soulless. It’s Creedence Clearwater’s inbred cousin – Lovecraft’s lovechild. It’s garage rock made in a bedroom.

Radhika Rathinasab?apathy is the singer/songwriter and brainchild of the band Resonance, a music project that specialises in bringing multiple genres together under one voice. Music was always going to come calling for Radhika, and so it proved. And it’s paying off too – the steadily growing online fanbase are coming from far and wide, from the UK, France, India, Singapore and Indonesia.
