On this auspicious day, we celebrate the mahasamadhi of Swami Sivananda, one of the greatest saints and sages of India. Mahasamadhi is when a great soul consciously and intentionally leaves their body.
We will hold a Guru puja and tell stories of His life and work. During puja—a beautiful, ancient devotional ceremony—we make a series of offerings in His honor.
All are invited to join. No charge. (Flowers, sweets or donations welcome.)
A puja is a devotional ritual or temple ceremony that conveys the deep essence of spirituality. Devotional rituals elevate the mind, sooth the nervous system and generate harmony. The chants bring much joy and have a very positive effect on the physical and mental wellbeing.
