Whitney Chadwick is an art historian who writes on Surrealism and Contemporary Art. She is the author of Women, Art, and Society, Women Artists and the Surrealist Movement, and Mirror Mirror: Self Portraits by Women Artists, as well the forthcoming book, Farewell to the Muse: Love, War and the Women of Surrealism. Her writings also include an art-historical crime novel, entitled Framed, which earned mainstream critical acclaim. She received her PhD from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Chadwick will lead us in a walking tour of the exhibition and discussion about the artist.
