Summer, Winter, Spring Installation

Join us for the the premiere of Summer, Winter, Spring - a time lapse performance-film observing the seasons of San Francisco’s UN Plaza / Civic Center through a combined film, performance and live music score created using 2 years of time-lapse performances in UN Plaza. Summer,Winter, Spring opens Jan 13th, 2018 with an opening reception from 5p-8p at the Minnesota St Projects, SF Arts Ed Gallery (1275 Minnesota St, 2nd floor), an artist talk / discussion Jan 20th from 2p-4p and live performances Fri Jan. 26th and Sat Jan. 27th at 8pm.

The project features a fantastic team of collaborators and performers including choreographers Daiane Lopes da Silva (Kinetech Arts), paige starling sorvillo (blindsight), Mary Armentrout (Milkbar); composers Heather Frasch and Evelyn Ficarra along with live percussion by Suki O’Kane and additional performance by Norman Gee, plus many, many guest performers in the films.

Opening, artist talk, and exhibition are free!

Tickets for the performances on Fri. Jan. 26th (8p) and Sat. Jan. 27th (8p) are $25 via eventbrite with a "No one turned away for lack of funds" policy. Due to limited seating we strongly encourage advance booking.

Summer, Winter, Spring has been generously supported in part by the Rainin Foundation, the Zellerbach Family Foundation, the SF Film Commission fee waiver program, The University of Sussex Dept of Music, and many private donors. It is fiscally sponsored by Dancer’s Group and produced at the MilkBar.
