This is a class for advanced improvisers who want to study long-form improv at BATS and challenge themselves with multiple narratives weaving through the show. Students will learn how to spontaneously create characters, environments and narrative based on multiple genres, and the transitions that will allow the cast to move seamlessly from story to story. The use of traditional transitions, cinematic tools and TFM’s unique way of dropping from one story to the next will be practiced. We’ll end with either one or two shows, depending on the amount of students who register.
BATS Improv Class Refund Policy:
Summer Youth and Adult Sessions cancellation policy:
If you cancel more than 14 days (2 weeks) before your first class, we will refund your tuition less a 15% processing fee.
If you cancel within 14 days (2 weeks) of your first class, your tuition will be forfeit.
Why so far in advance for summer? These classes are the most dramatically affected by last-minute vacations and changing plans, and we need to ensure that they can successfully run for all students who have enrolled!
Regular Class cancellation policy:
If you cancel more than 96 hours (4 days) before a class begins, we will refund your tuition less a 15% processing fee.
If you cancel within 96 hours (4 days) of your first class, your tuition will be forfeit.
All cancellation and refund requests must be emailed to
[email protected], and include the title and start date of your class.
In the event that we cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, we’ll refund your tuition in full.
Please note: In the past, we have offered class credit in lieu of refunds. We are no longer able to offer this option. Each class tuition payment will stand on its own, and is non-transferable.
