Summer Session: Improvised Shakespeare with Tim Orr (#S19-08-2982)

Class Time/Dates:
Saturday, Sunday, Monday, August 3, 4, 5, 10am - 5pm each day Tuesday, August 6, 7pm-10pmPerformance showcases: Wednesday, August 7, 6:30pm and 8:00pmClass size: 14 students maximumClass length: 21 hour of instructionPrerequisite: At least one improvised performance class necessary. This Advanced Long-Form Intensive is intended for advanced students who are looking to play with the theatricality, emotions, playfulness and poetry of the BARD.
- the richness, beauty and simplicity of the language;- the boisterous comings and goings, and overall stage movement, that keep the story moving ahead in a dynamic fashion;- the eccentricity and variety of the characters;- the freedom to tell any kind of story within the Shakespearean framework (romance, mystery, crime, fantasy, etc.);- the joy and momentum from working as a cohesive ensemble
Through working on these specifics of the Shakespearean genre and style, you'll strengthen the skills that will serve you in any genre or format. Join Intensive instructor Tim Orr for this wild ride!
 


BATS Improv Class Refund Policy:
Summer Youth and Adult Sessions cancellation policy:

If you cancel more than 14 days (2 weeks) before your first class, we will refund your tuition less a 15% processing fee.
If you cancel within 14 days (2 weeks) of your first class, your tuition will be forfeit.

Why so far in advance for summer? These classes are the most dramatically affected by last-minute vacations and changing plans, and we need to ensure that they can successfully run for all students who have enrolled!
Regular Class cancellation policy:

If you cancel more than 96 hours (4 days) before a class begins, we will refund your tuition less a 15% processing fee. 
If you cancel within 96 hours (4 days) of your first class, your tuition will be forfeit.

All cancellation and refund requests must be emailed to [email protected], and include the title and start date of your class.
In the event that we cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment, we’ll refund your tuition in full.
Please note: In the past, we have offered class credit in lieu of refunds. We are no longer able to offer this option. Each class tuition payment will stand on its own, and is non-transferable.
