SURVIVAL JAPANESE FOR BUSY PEOPLE
“Survival Japanese for Busy People” is designed for busy professionals who would like to be familiar with basic Japanese. Unlike our “Beginner Class” series, which occasionally refers to Japanese grammar (e.g., basic motion verbs and existence of people and things), this class primarily focuses on the development of basic conversational skills and an understanding of Japanese as it is currently spoken in Japan. The class, which is designed for those who have no previous experience of learning Japanese, covers a wide variety of topics, such as greetings, self-introductions, favorite foods and drinks, day and time, counting (including currency), and daily routines. Check the book for a gauge of your level.
Instrcutor - DR. MASAHIKO MINAMIMasahiko Minami is Professor at San Francisco State University where he specializes in Japanese language and cross-cultural studies. He is also President of the Foreign Language Association of Northern California (FLANC) and coordinator for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (Nihongo N?ryoku Shiken: JLPT) for Northern California. In addition, he was President of the Northern California Japanese Teachers’ Association (NCJTA). Dr. Minami, who received a PhD from Harvard University, is also a guest Professor at the National Institute for Japanese Language & Linguistics, Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Minami was the 2007 recipient of the Phi Beta Kappa Excellence in Teaching Award for Northern California.

Japanese for travel: Each month from May | 4-week sessions of 1.25-hour classes, once per week | Classes of 2-4 students
Private Tutoring: At your schedule. 1 on 1 lesson.
