If Brian Wilson had dropped acid on the beach in Brazil and decided to record an album with Os Mutantes and The Flaming Lips, it would sound like this.
Gabriella Cohen makes music that is raw and personal, aching with nostalgia and painted with melodies that recall a languid lovesickness. Her internationally acclaimed debut full-length, Full Closure and No Details, is the product of 10 days and two microphones, a labour of love recorded with her partner in crime, Kate Dillon. Since its humble beginnings on Cohen’s granddad’s nylon string, Full Closure and No Details has made its way across the world, touring internationally with U.S superstars Foxygen, and playing a string of European Festivals amongst the likes of The Flaming Lips and Devendra Banhart. Cohen and Dillon have now relocated to America, where they plan to conquer the hearts and minds of Hollywood.
