Want to tell powerful true stories without schmaltz to a packed audience of adoring fans? Let comedic storyteller and NPR Snap Judgment veteran Josh Healey share his tips for turning heartbreak, humiliation, and tragedy into a riveting five-minute piece that is the perfect mix of vulnerability and comedic vavoom. In this five week storytelling workshop, you’ll learn how to find what’s funny in your foibles, structure a compelling story and connect solidly with your audience. You’ll get targeted feedback on your draft to help you polish up your diddy for submission. By the end of the class, you’ll have written a few drafts of great stories and have at least one polished story that’s ready to submit to storytelling shows like The Moth, Snap Judgment, and Porchlight! You will even perform your story at a show!
