The Art Department at UCSC welcomes visual artist, printmaker, and researcher Alexandra Emberley as part of their winter 2014 series, "Stories Unlimited: Layered Meanings and Process." Alexandra will give a presentation on her recent project "Fur Stories [you are not wild enough for me]," a multi-disciplinary installation of print-media, textile work, sculpture, and video. She will focus on the interaction of matter and story in the development of her practice and an ongoing interest in how images foster emergent encounters and new perceptions of the familiar.
