Winter Nights at the Osher Marin JCC presents: It's Swing Time!
Featuring STEVE LUCKY & THE RHUMBA BUMS
Sat. Feb. 10, 2018: 8pm
The Osher Marin JCC
The Kanbar Center at the Osher Marin JCC brings the multicultural flavors, movement, live music and fun of Summer Nights festivals to the indoor Hoytt Theater & Plaza J. Steve Lucky & The Rhumba Bums perform for the final concert of the 3-week series, celebrating Swing Music with live music, delicious food from San Anselmo's own Farm Burgers.
A recipe for good times, Lucky's soulful piano and vocals, and the vivacious Miss Getit's vocals and acclaimed guitar shredding create a powerful sound that appeals to fans both young and old. They perform as a 6 piece band, with 2 saxes, bass, drums, piano, guitar and vocals.
Described as a "perfect union of skilled and fueled merrymaking" (SF Bay Guardian), they thrive at engaging an audience. Muddy Waters' legendary blues/boogie pianist Pinetop Perkins called Miss Getit his "favorite guitarist", she appears on his Grammy nominated & WC Handy-winning CD "Ladies Man".
The Winter Nights Series brings the sunshine indoors with friends, fun, music and dancing and begs all to get out on the dance floor and shake off those winter blues!
"Instant crowd favorites" Tom Mussolini, producer, San Francisco Blues Festival.
