It's been a long road to overnight success but Paranoid Visions have been going from strength to strength over the past couple of years. Headline slots at festivals are one thing but when your 2015 album outsells material from your supposed "hayday" it's a sign that a band is finally getting it right!
Formed in Dublin in 1981 the bands stubborn and steadfast approach to music has kept them on the fringes of Rock N Roll for 35 years. Despite several offers from major labels, 3 hit singles, TV notoriety and countless live performances, the bands DIY ethics have held true and against all odds they have maintained an outsider artist status (or arch musical terrorist status) throughout. Since 2005 the band has released 4 studio albums, 2 compilations and 14 singles. And, yes, they know that this is not the way the industry should work, but have zero interest in operating in a manner the "industry" suggests! Featuring at 107 in the list of the most important Irish releases in history (the album Beware of the God was 3 places ahead of a U2 album!) the bands validity cannot be argued against and despite attempts to avoid it, the mainstream is finally offering acceptance.
