Stepping into WebVR with A-Frame

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Wednesday, July 26th: 6pm-9pm
Friday, July 28th: 6pm-9pm
A-Frame is a open-source framework for creating 3D and virtual reality experiences on the web. It was built by the MozVR team to more quickly prototype WebVR experiences as we asked ourselves “what would the virtual reality on the web look like?”
This two-day workshop will provide an introduction to creating VR experiences using a web browser, creative approaches to rapid VR prototyping in any WebGL-enabled browser, as well as live tutorials, demonstrations and prototype applications.  Learn how to build an interactive 360° VR environment on mobile, desktop or VR headsets including Oculus Rift, HTC Vive or Google Cardboard--all accessible by visiting a website.
In this workshop students will learn:

How to create and share WebVR content

How to creatively use media (video, audio, sculpture) in WebVR

Creative approaches to prototyping VR in the browser

How to test webVR content in multiple VR headsets (Cardboards, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift)

Laptops Required
Programming Experience Level: Beginner to Advanced HTML & Javascript
Led by artist and technologist Ray McClure.
