Stanley and the Search are both students and lovers of pop-punk, and it shows. The five-piece L.A. band borrow bits of style from the '90s, 2000s and present (Green Day, Good Charlotte, Sum 41) as well as borrowing elements from the emo-punk boom of the mid-aughts--shaping it into a product all their own: energetic, syncopated riffs, chugging rhythms and strong vocal harmonies, all wrapped up inside excellent production. The band formed in 2011. Their latest release, Weightless, is a reissue of their debut EP with a few bonus tracks.
