Spring Series with Tamar Zaken: On Identity and Inclusion

Join us for a 4-part educational series on Jewish thought with author and educator Tamar Zaken! The workshops will consist of 4 intimate sessions through which personal and contemporary issues will be examined through the lens of Mizrahi Jewish texts. The topics of this spring series include:
1/18 Names and Identity
2/22 Intersectionality
3/x Women's Empowerment
4/8 Mimouna and Coexistance 
About Tamar Zaken:
Tamar Zaken has spent over a decade directing service learning Beit Midrash programs at Memizrach Shemesh, the Center for Jewish Social Leadership based in Jerusalem. She graduated from the Joint Program at Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and received a Masters degree in Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University. Tamar is an informal educator, and community worker and now spends time translating Sephardic Rabbinic texts to expose English speaking audiences to their inspiring message of inclusion and justice.
