Create your own sculptural "spirit boat" and explore new ways of working with different materials to explore your own personal journey with artist Jennifer Ewing. This workshop offers a stimulating and supportive environment and opens up new pathways to navigate challenges with confidence. For many years, Ewing has been helping people discover themselves by making a Spirit Boat to honor someone or relieve grief or sadness.
Artist Jennifer Ewing began her theme "Spirit Boats" in 2005 as a response to a major life passage, the death of her father. She uses the boat as a symbol of transformation. In 2011, she was the Artist in Residence at the deYoung Museum, exhibiting Spirit Boat Directions, and in 2014, she was the guest artist at the Living Shaman Museum in San Francisco's Presidio, exhibiting Healing Spirit Boats. In 2015, her Spirit Boat Timeline was shown at the UCSF Memory and Aging Center.
