Hotel Nikko San Francisco and Michael Feinstein are proud to welcome modern day Torch Singer Spencer Day to the all-new Feinstein's at the Nikko for three acoustic cabaret-style performances- May 23, 24 and 25, 2013. Day will perform tracks off his recently-released album, The Mystery of You, as well as selections from his previous three albums.
Day has been a fan favorite in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2007, and since then has performed at notable venues including Joe's Pub and Birdland Jazz in New York City, and Yoshi's and the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco.
His latest release, The Mystery of You, is filled with stylistic nuances that range from smoky noir and Latin jazz to surf guitar and Middle Eastern and Asian melodies, the album tracks the sometimes exhilarating, sometimes harrowing arc of a romantic relationship from passionate beginning to painful demise and onto enlightened aftermath.
That story – rooted in his own experience, yet filled with revelations and truths that are universal to any human being who has ever put his or her heart at risk – is captured in the 13 tracks of, The Mystery of You.
