Special Curator Walkthrough: Linda Gass & The Bay Trail

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Step out from the exhibition and straight into the subject matter with this Special Curator Walk-Through, exploring beauty and sea level rise along the Dogpatch Bay Trail!

Begin the afternoon with an artist-led walkthrough of "Linda Gass: and then this happened..." in which Bay Area multimedia artist Linda Gass creates stitched paintings and works in glass to question the relationship between humans and their environment. Informed and inspired by her extensive research on the impact of changing waterways, sea-level rise, fire and drought in California and the American West, Gass's work uses beauty to shed light on difficult issues.

Join Linda Gass with naturalist and Bay Trail board member, Corinne DeBra, for a 1.25 mile walk to explore the bay shoreline adjacent to the Bay Trail in Dogpatch. Walk from the museum to Warm Water Cove Park and a Coastal Access Point near the museum to learn more about the Bay Trail, observe the beauty of the Bay and to discuss the impacts of sea level rise on wildlife and humans. Pre-registration is required and space is limited!

$8 General Admission, $6 Students/Seniors, FREE for Children 12 & Under.
