Spanish Organ Music and the Iberian Milieu

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Mission San Jose and Museum (see times)
The concert will focus not only the 17th century music of Spain but the surrounding influences from Portugal, Italy, Germany and Holland. The organ is only one of three in the US which is capable of rendering authentic sounds that are endemic to Spanish organ music. Particularly, a split keyboard, making possible melody and accompaniment in either hand. Unique tuning that highlights chordal richness and a hand pumped wind system that allows for a sweeter tone.
