Enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music by Spanish composers, such as Fernando Sor, Enrique Granados and Manuel de Falla, played by accomplished classical guitarists Mark Teicholz and Michael Partington.

Michael Partington is one of the most engaging concert players of his generation. Praised for his "lyricism, intensity and clear technical command," this award-winning British guitarist has performed to unanimous critical acclaim. Audiences are put at ease by his charming stage manner and captivated by his interpretations. An innate rhythmic understanding and sense for tonal color combine to form some of the most memorable phrasing to be heard on the guitar.

He has appeared worldwide as a soloist and with ensembles and has nine solo CDs. Partington is currently Artist-in-Residence and director of the guitar program at the University of Washington in Seattle. He has given classes and workshops at festivals and institutions around the world. His students have won prizes in competitions, and scholarships and awards to study all over the world.

Marc Teicholz, classical guitarist, is the first prize-winner of the 1989 International Guitar Foundation of America competition. He has toured extensively, receiving critical acclaim for his recitals and master classes.

Teicholz is on the faculty of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and at California State University East Bay. He has participated at music festivals and records for Naxos and Sugo records. He graduated magna cum laude from Yale University, 1985, received a master's degree from the Yale School of Music, 1986, and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley at the Boalt School of Law, 1990.

Monthly Music at Noon concerts include a delicious hot buffet lunch before the concert. Door-to-door rides for mobility-impaired seniors are available.
