South Bay artist Samuel Rodríguez to discuss his “Typefaces: Caras de La Mision” exhibition

Accion Latina’s Juan R. Fuentes Gallery is pleased to invite you to an artist's talk and print signing in conjunction with the exhibition Typefaces: Caras de La Misión. Join us for an evening in the heart of Mission’s Latino Cultural District where South Bay-based visual artist and graphic designer Samuel Rodriguez, depicts the unique cultural landscape of the Mission District via observations of people, their distinctive features, and their surrounding environment.
Caras de La Misión includes familiar neighborhood faces—both past and present— and is dedicated to the resilient community of the Mission District. At a time of rapid gentrification and displacement, this exhibit helps to forge a cultural bridge across the Bay Area, establishing a creative dialog between Latino communities in San Francisco.
Visitors will be able to purchase limited edition digital reprints and participate in a Q&A with Samuel during the course of the evening.
