Soul Ska is a 10 piece Bay Area collective formed in 2014 featuring members of well-known bands such as Vinyl, Albino!, Stymie & the PJLO, El Radio Fantastique, The Right Time, Jethro Jeremiah Band and more. Their upbeat and original blend of rocksteady, ska and roots reggae has garnered them wide praise and a devout following.
They have been a featured act at large festivals such as Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (Mendocino), Summer Arts & Music (Humboldt), Ocean Beach Fest (SF) and Fairfax Festival, Muir Beach BBQ and Earth Day Marin (North Bay). Soul Ska has supported such legendary acts as Yellowman, Israel Vibrations, Capleton, Don Carlos, Fishbone, Third World and The English Beat among others.
Their debut album “Propaganda” on Ska Syndicate records produced by David Simon Baker (ALO, Jackie Greene, Mother Hips) will be released Fri. March 23 at the Great American Music Hall. 2018 will see the band continue to write original music, travel and play to capacity crowds and build their enthusiastic fanbase.
