Bay Area Vocal Academy presents the Artists of its 2018 Summer Workshop in a finale concert showcase. Young Artists age 13-18 will perform Songs of Travel: Art Songs, solos from Opera and Musical Theater, and staged scenes from Die Fledermaus, Guilio Cesare, Don Giovanni, Jekyll & Hyde, Miss Saigon, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The concert is FREE and open to the public--please support these young Artists and hear their amazing progress!
BAVA Co-Directors Rhoslyn Jones and Justin Montigne and international operatic soprano Heidi Melton and celebrated tenor Nicholas Phan make up the BAVA Summer Workshop voice faculty. Collaborative pianists Margaret Halbig and Sharon Lee Kim provide musical direction and perform with the BAVA Artists.
Donations will be accepted at the door to help BAVA prepare scholarships, guest artists, and other essential elements of its 2018-19 program. Thank you for your generous support!
We will have a short Q&A/Open House at the end of the performance to answer questions about BAVA and meet any singers interested in our year-long training program, beginning again in September.
There will be a celebratory reception with light refreshments. Please join us!
