SOMArts is proud to partner with La Pocha Nostra performance company to produce a 10-day workshop culminating in an evening of performance on Saturday, August 4, 8–10pm.
The 10-day interdisciplinary workshop hosted at SOMArts and facilitated by members of the legendary La Pocha Nostra performance group will explore the concept of the “city in ruins” and artist-driven responses to the predatory politics of urban land-use. Workshop participants were chosen through an open call process and will include local and international artists.
The culminating performance will involve the creation of interactive performance installations with an emphasis on the human body in relation to architecture. Tickets are available online in advance for $12 or at the door for $15. Join us to discover what happens when a group of performers spend 10 days creating at SOMArts!
Doors open to ticket holders at 7:30pm. We will be selling a limited number of walk-up tickets at the door for $15.
SOMArts is wheelchair accessible, but not scent free. Bike parking is available. Our restrooms are multi-stall and all-gender. Directions are here.
