*soft vowel sounds* is the latest solo music project from former Bitesize guitarist-vocalist-principal songwriter Julia Serano. With *soft vowel sounds*, she offers a novel mix of deliciously percussive and dissonant guitar noises, catchy-as-hell melodies, smart yet silly lyrics, and a charming lo-fi quirkiness that evokes the spirit of early records by Liz Phair, Pavement, Guided By Voices, Beat Happening, Sebadoh, and They Might Be Giants.
Polythene Pam are a quirky, upbeat, super entertaining freak/alt-folk/rock girl band. They combine eclectic, catchy tunes with rich harmonies, clever, insightful lyrics, and delightfully goofy stage antics. Laugh, dance, and sing along -- fun times guaranteed! Check out the music at http://bit.ly/polypam-youtube or http://bit.ly/polypam-spotify
Amina Shareef Ali is a talented East Bay-based singer/songwriter who performs songs of love and struggle. Poignant and revealing verse reminiscent of Leonard Cohen or Conor Oberst is set against a backdrop of American music both traditional and modern, from folk to punk to country to rock and roll.
