There's a new electro-dance party in town and they've got some serious hip-shaking going on. It's called Smash, and they debuted last week with local EDM up-and-comer John Beaver, who as of late has been opening a lot of the big electronic shows in the area, plus he's headed down to Coachella this year to perform. San Francisco's Helicopter Showdown headlines this Thursday. They mix ear-splitting, heavy bass-wobbling dubstep with ultra-light House dance beats and trippy, trance-y jams.
