Sketch Friday at 111 Minna

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Sketch Friday in conjunction with our current exhibition:
'Wildflowers' by Amanda Lynn and Lady Mags

Sketch Friday is part of an ongoing tradition at 111 Minna Gallery for over a decade. Originally founded by Sasha Eckes, then carried on by Brad K Alder for 12 years until Covid.

The idea of Sketch Friday is to bring together artists of various media and career levels under one roof to create work for sale in front of a live audience. All sales go directly to the artists themselves. This event allows the public to become more familiar with the individual artists, artists to become more familiar with other artists thus opening up their networking, and the patrons of the arts to be able to purchase fresh work at affordable price points from their favorite artists.

~~~~~~~~
With 'Wildflowers,' Amanda Lynn and Lady Mags are coming together once again to bring their unified vision of beauty, femininity, and nature to 111 Minna. As long-time collaborators and friends, these two have been creating work together for over a decade and graced the Bay Area with massive public art pieces combining their unique styles. Together they weave watercolor, bold graffiti, powerful female figures, and flora and fauna into one cohesive look.
About Amanda Lynn
Amandalynn is a Muralist and Fine Artist based in Northern California. Inspired by the feminine in all things, Amandalynn depicts the subtle beauty of the natural world and humankind, through illustrated line work and decorative patterning. Her works can be found in Galleries and Streets all over the world. She began developing her distinct Street Art style mural work in 2001, painting alongside the graffiti community of San Francisco. Amandalynn is very passionate about her outdoor mural work and still enjoys collaborating with a variety of different artists, as well as creating large solo works. Fine Art also plays a key role in Amandalynn's life, as she continues to develop her career as a professional gallery artist. She has a bachelor's degree of Fine Art from the San Francisco Academy of Art, and recently has started teaching mural classes to high school students. Amandalynn believes that sharing the creative process with others is the key to living an inspired life.
