At neighborhood favorite El Rio, three local bands come together for a super special birthday bash show for Al Harper and Nu Normol, who are also releasing a tape. Mood-setter Silverware opens the night strong on September 25 from 8 - 12AM, $7 at the door.
Silverware opens the night with some dreamy bare bones tunes to soothe you. She's been putting out music for the past 10 years, beginning in Kentucky and now recording and releasing from San Francisco. Her latest EP "Deep Water" came out this spring.
Next is underground heavyweights Al Harper with their big time sound, celebrating their lead's birthday. They are also hard at work on their new album with new tunes from it to play live. Be sure to check out their first EP "About Power", recorded and released here in San Francisco.
Nu Normol is releasing their second tape in the Bay, "No Love Songs", with some new punchy songs after a line up change. Not to mention they are also celebrating their lead guitar player's birthday, it should be a ridiculously fun show start to finish.
