The Firehouse Arts Center in downtown Pleasanton plays host to the six-piece bluegrass band known as Sideline. In 2019, Sideline won the Song of The Year Award at the 30th Annual International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Awards. The hit single, "Thunder Dan," had been riding the waves at the top of bluegrass music charts all year.
Sideline started as a side project for a group of seasoned players, but soon moved front and center as they began to record and release albums in earnest. The "pedigreed" powerhouse band founders are Steve Dilling (banjo), guitarist Skip Cherryholmes and Jason Moore (bass), all influential members of multiple award-winning groups. They have made countless Grand Ole Opry appearances, and done years of national and international touring. The band became a full-time dream team with the latest additions of Zack Arnold (mandolin), Jamie Harper (fiddle) and guitarist Jacob Greer.
The Sideline sound reminds audiences of why so many people fall in love with bluegrass in the first place: music full of drive and heart, plus perfected timing and execution.
Set list includes original material plus hard-hitting neo-traditional covers of classic songs. The high energy delivery, powerful harmonies, and masterful musicianship is the embodiment of the North Carolina Bluegrass sound.
Reserved seat tickets: $25 - $15.
