Originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Siddhartha has completely enraptured media and audiences with his work as a producer and solo musician, earning him some pretty impressive accolades.

As one of Mexico's most promising and renowned artists, his music mixes rock, pop and Latin rhythms paired with astute social and political lyrics and catchy melodies. In that vein, it's easy to see the connection between his style and his musical influences: The Beatles, Soda Stereo, Gustavo Cerati, Depeche Mode, and The Cure.

Probably best known for his work as a drummer for the group Zoé, Siddhartha's musical career began during the tour for the band's 2005 album, The Room, and stayed to record the 2006 album Memo Rex Commander y El Corazón de la Vía Láctea.

In 2008, his debut solo album -- Why You? -- earned him an Indie-O Music Award in the Best Rock Solo Album category and later at Latin Grammy nomination for Best Rock Solo Vocal Album.

Talked about as one of the year's best productions, the album also produced successful singles, including "Sacúdeme," "Control," "Volver a Ver," and "Colecciono Planetas."

His highly anticipated sophomore album Náufrago did not fall short of the collective expectation and reached the Top 5 on iTunes.

The success of this album initiated the beginning of one of his most extensive tours, with sold-out performances and festival slots punctuating the promise of this emerging star. His follow-up album, El Vuelo del Pez, garnered two nominations at the Latin Grammys for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Song for the track "El Aire."

On his album Únicos, Siddhartha returned to his rock roots with personal and introspective songwriting, giving fans a glimpse into his serene nature as a musician. This album initiated a massive tour captured on the CD+DVD, Al Aire, a live production that attempted to encapsulate his illustrious career.

Never wanting to be stagnate, Siddhartha pushed creative boundaries again in 2022 with the release of the title track from his sixth studio album, 00:00, adding a Mariachi band to the song's arrangement without sacrificing his signature style.
