Come join the Global Shapers of San Francisco for our next ShaperTalk—we'll be hosting a talk with Breakthrough Ocean Ventures Founder Nishan Degnarain on climate change on Earth Day, April 22nd. There's no better way to spend your Earth Day than by learning about the issues facing our environment!
Last year, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warned us that limiting a drastic temperature increase to our atmosphere would require rapid, far-reaching, and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society. Simultaneously, our ocean is being threatened by plastic pollution is flooding our waterways, corals are bleaching at abnormal rates, and criminal activities at sea remain rampant. We require a fundamental and immediate transformation within our governing systems, businesses, and civil society if we, as the last generation capable of making significant strides in protecting our environment, are to rise to this challenge. Join us for a conversation on the health and future of our ocean with Nishan Degnarain, economist and founder of Breakthrough Ocean Ventures.
