Wendy White is critically hailed for work that expands the parameters of painting through the use of multiple canvases, sculptural additions, and site-specific installation. Frequently inspired by the visual cacophony of her neighborhood of Chinatown in New York City, her works contain dense accumulations of natural and synthetic materials, atmospheric color, digital and analogue marks, and fragments of text. In February 2014, White will be included in FĂștbol: The Beautiful Game, curated by Franklin Sirmans at Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
