ArtSpan invites the public to visit the creative spaces of local artists to see where their magic happens and to purchase work directly from creators. A beloved annual tradition since 1975, ArtSpan's citywide SFOS offers residents and tourists the free opportunity to engage directly with the artists responsible for the unique creative culture and vibrancy that attracts admirers from all over the world.
As we return to a more traditional SFOS event, we celebrate the artful solidarity of the independent artists and studio buildings across the region who join ArtSpan in bringing you a refreshing experience. One not to be missed gem is the South/West region of San Francisco during our Weekend 2 of SF Open Studios encompassing Glen Park, Twin Peaks, Ocean View, Ingleside, Excelsior, Mission Terrace, Lakeshore, Richmond, Sunset, West Portola, Parkside, and surrounding neighborhoods. Note that some artists participating in Weekend 2 are doing so outside of the City's South/West region. Be sure to review the map linked below for a complete listing.
ArtSpan has organized a self-guided art walk on the city's Westside--along the Taraval corridor--during Weekend 2, October 29-30, of SF Open Studios. We invite you to join us in discovering all the Westside has to offer!
Our Westside ArtWalk features artist pop-ups at partnered businesses in the neighborhood, bringing increased awareness and support for both the artists and small businesses in the underserved Westside. After engaging with our participating artists, we encourage you to explore their host businesses that provide exhibition space for artists who would otherwise not have the means to publicly present their work.
The ArtWalk isn't the only happening during Weekend 2 of SFOS. Please be sure to also visit the many other artists in the area who are welcoming the public from 11am to 6pm.
