On 31st October 2015, we invite everyone to run, walk and party through Golden Gate Park at our 4th annual SF Mad Dash 5K Halloween Costume Run! All ages are welcome to join us to run, walk and party at SF Mad Dash with all registered runners receiving a race timed numbered bib and a commemorative SF Mad Dash drawstring bag containing a banana, water and lots of other cool stuff. (Kids 12 and under need not register and instead of a race timed bib and goody bag will receive a numbered bib and a high five.)
Then, whether you run in the 5K race or not, join us for the after-party at the Polo Field Stables. Enjoy some delicious food from Bacon Bacon food truck, a refreshment from our bar and soak up some of post-race entertainment including a live performance by Sunset Co-Op’s own The Bumpity Bumps.
All of the day’s events will be MC’d by KFOG’s own Renee Richardson including post-race festivities such as runner’s prizes, costume contest, raffle, music and fun kid activities for the little ones including a bounce house.
This year’s raffle has some great prizes as well with $1000 in cash going to the winner, second place will receive an Apple Sports iWatch and third place a $150 gift card for Wayfare Tavern.
Proceeds from SF Mad Dash benefit Sunset Cooperative Nursery School. So in addition to having a great time, you will be helping a beloved community institution. Sunset began in 1940 as the Parkside Play Center, and is the oldest continually operating parent-participation preschool in San Francisco. The school is dedicated to providing a trusting and caring environment for children to play, learn, and grow. With a strong focus on the community, the environment, and an overall betterment of the world, your donation will help us all in the present and future.
