An Evening of Chinese and Persian Music" includes traditional repertoire as well as new works for mixed ensemble including Chinese and Persian instruments. Melody of China will be joined by guest artist Amir Etemadzadeh and Aydin Shaterian. "An Evening of Chinese and Persian Music" blends Chinese and Persian traditional aesthetics with contemporary rhythms and tonality to give voice to the changing tides of global culture. The work also reflects and empowers the local bay area community through a shared vision of strength through diverse partnerships and creative arts.
