SF IndieFest Opening Night: THE UNICORN+FANTASIA Double Bill
Kick off the 21st San Francisco Independent Film Festival on Weds Jan 30 with an awesome night at the movies.
First up, at 7p, join actor/director Robert Schwartzman (The Virgin Suicides, The Princess Diaries) as we debut his unique take on the romantic comedy THE UNICORN. Starring Lauren Lapkus (Upright Citizens Brigade, Big Bang Theory, Adventure Time) and Nicholas Rutherford (LA comedy troupe Good Neighbor plus a million comedy credits) play an indecisive, 4 years engaged, couple who learn that the secret to her parent's long happy marriage is threesomes and so embark on the most uncomfortable night of their lives by intentionally and unintentionally involving a third party in their relationship.
THEN at 9p local electronica outfit The Firmament take the Victoria's stage to perform an extra trippy live re-score to Disney's classic animated feature FANTASIA. To read more about the band and about how Disney re-released Fantasia specifically marketed to stoners and acid heads in the '60s, go HERE.
Tickets are available individually to these shows, but the best deal is the discounted Double Feature that includes a comped drink ticket!
